The 14-19 White Paper set out a system with three main options
for learning style and subjects:
- GCSEs and A-levels;
- applied, work-related new Diplomas;
- and work-based Apprenticeships
Over time it is likely that funding for 14-19 education will
focus on GCSEs, A levels, Diplomas and Apprenticeships. However,
before any changes are made to funding of other qualifications, the
current priority is to build up the high quality work-related
provision and pilot the specialised Diplomas.
